Mustafa El Shabazz Bey-Founder/Executive Director
Mustafa El Shabazz Bey serves as the Executive Director of WE THE PEOPLE UNITED FOR CHANGE, INC., and is committed to advancing economic empowerment, community development, and sustainable opportunities for underserved individuals and families throughout Baltimore, Maryland, and beyond. Under his leadership, the organization has developed initiatives centered on financial literacy, homeownership education, workforce development, community outreach, and equitable access to critical resources and opportunities.
Driven by a strong commitment to grassroots engagement and community advancement, Mustafa works collaboratively with residents, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, community stakeholders, and local leadership to address pressing social and economic challenges impacting historically underserved communities. His work emphasizes practical, community-driven solutions designed to strengthen neighborhoods, promote self-sufficiency, expand educational and economic opportunities, and improve overall quality of life.
As Executive Director, Mustafa El Shabazz Bey continues to lead strategic initiatives that foster long-term community stability and empowerment through educational programming, partnership development, advocacy, and collaborative community investment. Matteo Giunta Fausty-Director of Financial Literacy & Economic Empowerment
Matteo Giunta Fausty is a financial literacy educator, economic empowerment strategist, entrepreneur, and Founder of Capeesh Co, a Baltimore-based marketing and business development firm focused on helping individuals, organizations, and small businesses build sustainable growth and long-term success. As the lead facilitator of the Smart Money Financial Literacy & Economic Empowerment Workshop Series, Matteo delivers dynamic, results-driven financial education designed to equip individuals and families with the tools needed to achieve financial stability, wealth-building, and economic independence.
His instruction focuses on practical application and real-world financial strategies, covering budgeting, credit restoration, debt management, saving, investing, financial planning, and wealth development. By combining financial education with behavioral and mindset-based approaches, Matteo empowers participants to transform financial knowledge into meaningful action and long-term lifestyle change.
Driven by a strong commitment to community advancement and economic equity, Matteo is passionate about expanding access to financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity within underserved communities. Through his work, he continues to advocate for sustainable wealth-building initiatives, mentorship, and community-centered solutions that help close wealth gaps and create stronger, more financially empowered communities.
Kelly Ryan- Director of Community Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
Kelly Ryan is a dedicated nonprofit and community engagement leader with a strong background in developing impactful outreach initiatives, fostering meaningful partnerships, and advancing community-centered programming. Through her role with L.I.T.T. (Love In The Trenches), a Baltimore-based nonprofit focused on harm reduction, overdose prevention, family support, and public health outreach, she has helped support community engagement efforts, volunteer initiatives, and wellness-centered programming designed to create safe and supportive spaces for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder.
Her experience includes developing mutually beneficial partnerships, expanding volunteer engagement networks, and supporting initiatives focused on equity, empowerment, and sustainable community impact. Kelly is deeply committed to promoting healthier, safer, and more connected communities through collaborative and people-centered solutions.
As part of her work with WE THE PEOPLE UNITED FOR CHANGE, INC., Kelly is excited to help advance inclusive initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods, support community well-being, and promote long-term social and economic empowerment for individuals and families throughout the community.
Nathan Richardson-Director of Health and Wellness
As the first Director of Health and Wellness for WE THE PEOPLE UNITED FOR CHANGE, INC., Nathan Richardson is dedicated to building stronger, healthier communities through education, wellness, and outreach. With over three years of experience at the YMCA as an Operations Associate and Program Lead, he has developed and led impactful programs designed to benefit individuals and families throughout the community.
Bringing more than 10 years of experience as a professional chef, Nathan combines his passion for nutrition, wellness, and community engagement by leading a weekly family chef program at the YMCA, where he teaches families how to prepare fun, healthy, and affordable meals together. His mission is rooted in empowering people through health education, positive lifestyle changes, and community unity.
Deeply committed to the well-being of others, Nathan continues to advocate for healthier living, personal growth, and creating opportunities that inspire a new beginning and a brighter future for generations to come.
Tara Self-Administrative Assistant
Tara Self is a skilled professional with a diverse background spanning the beauty industry and administrative operations. She spent 15 years as a hairstylist in Virginia, building lasting client relationships and honing her craft through continuous growth in technique, trends, and client care.
In addition to her professional experience, Tara brings more than eight years of experience in administrative support, accounting assistance, and office management. Throughout her career, she has developed strong skills in financial recordkeeping, organizational management, scheduling, data entry, document preparation, and day-to-day office operations.
Her combination of administrative expertise, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills has made her a dependable and versatile professional. Tara is committed to maintaining efficient organizational systems, supporting team initiatives, and ensuring that projects and operations run smoothly. She brings professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic to her role with We The People United for Change, Inc., along with a genuine passion for serving others and strengthening the communities we impact.
